Im Oktober haben wir für ein oberösterreichisches Unternehmen ein Consulting Projekt im Bereich Security von Java Web Anwendungen durchgeführt. Im speziellen ging es um das Verbessern der Sicherheit von ca. 10 Anwendungen, die das Spring Framework und Spring Security bzw. Acegi nutzten um über NTLMv1 mit dem Active Directory von Microsoft authentifizieren und autorisieren (mittels LDAP).

Im Rahmen des Projekts hat unser Java Spezialist Thomas Einwaller das zuständige Team des Unternehmens bei der Entwicklung eines Prototypen auf Basis von Spring Security 3 und den Protokollen SPNEGO/Kerberos unterstützt. Außerdem wurden zusätzliche Maßnahmen zur Absicherung von anderen Java Anwendungen die unter Apache Tomcat betrieben werden erarbeitet.

Das Ergebnis des Consultings ist eine Roadmap die es dem Unternehmen ermöglicht die Sicherheit seine Java Webanwendungen erheblich zu verbessern indem sie auf den aktuellen Stand der Technik gebracht werden.

Am 24.09.2010 fand der Event „The Great Potential – The Internet as the platform for the EU’s ICT entrepreneurship“ im Google Office Brüssel statt. Auf Einladung von PIN-SME und Google wurde troii ausgewählt anhand timr über die Möglichkeiten des Internets für Gründer im IT Bereich zu sprechen. DI(FH) Thomas Einwaller war es eine große Freude für troii bei diesem Event vorzutragen.

The Austrian cellphone company A1 recently honored the best Apps in the “A1 Challenge for Apps”. troii won the 2nd price in the BlackBerry sub-category for its BlackBerry App for timr – the timetracking revolution. Mario Breid received the reward representative for the whole troii team.

The most important Austrian IT-Award “Constantinus” was conferd to the 3 troii founders Mario Breid, Wolfgang Brandhuber und Thomas Einwaller on the 10th of June 2010 in Bregenz (Austria).

Diese beiden Berufsgruppen sind von Natur aus viel unterwegs und verwenden bei Interviews und Gesprächsterminen timr vorwiegend über die BlackBerry App.
